Scope 3

Scope 3 has the broadest range of categories and input shapes. Capability discovery—not a category name—defines the valid activity, catalog item, and accepted unit for each destination.

General items use quantity and unit. Some transport items accept tkm directly. Where the contract allows it, weight_kg and distance_km may be provided together and CFO derives tkm while recording its source. Never provide only one of the pair or substitute a spreadsheet factor for the CFO catalog.

UAT must cover every required Scope 3 capability in the actual grant, not just one example. Record the unsupported-input or supported-but-ungranted probe according to the declared grant mode.
